Restaurant renovation overcomes historic challenge through Enodis innovation

September 20th, 2004

Owners of unique hotel-museum faced a quandry. To address a growing demand from conventions and an upscale clientele, the property owners sought to add a high end restaurant. But the historical property was situated in a series of restored historical buildings dating from the 18th century. The age of the building and the restaurant’s location next to the air intake for a major museum presented multiple equipment and ventilation challenges that could have derailed the project.

Enodis companies collaborated on a solution. Vent Master custom-designed a total air purification solution with Reactocell hoods that utilized engineered airflow and ultra-violet light to eliminate ventilation concerns. Enodis completed the custom solution using Delfield, Frymaster, Garland, ICE-o-matic, and Jackson products in this unique historical culinary destination.

The results pleased everyone: the hotel opened the new restaurant while preserving the historic building. The Ventmaster system eliminated exhaust and odor concerns. Happy diners enjoyed wonderful meals in a historic setting, and the owners celebrated a successful project.
