FastBake wins the 2007 Kitchen Innovations AwardJune 25, 2007

For the third year in a row, Lincoln Foodservice Products has been recognized by the National Restaurant Association as a leader in foodservice equipment innovation with the 2007 Kitchen Innovation Award.  The competition, judged by an independent panel of industry experts, recognizes trend-setting kitchen equipment thought to be among the most innovative in the world.  All winners were showcased with live interactive demonstrations in the Kitchen Innovations Pavilion during the National Restaurant Show in May 2007. 

The Kitchen Innovations award proves that FastBake technology is more than simply hot air!  While there were three other conveyor oven companies at NRA promoting a faster bake, only Lincoln FastBake was chosen as a clear technological advancement.  "The difference is very distinct," says Ben Gregory, Product Manager for Large Ovens at Lincoln. "Lincoln did not go the quick and easy route of increasing air velocity because it increases the sound levels of the equipment and it can sometimes produce too harsh of a baking profile, minimizing product quality.  Instead we did a lot of research in thermal and air dynamics, resulting in a new technology that actually improves the processes we use to bake pizza."

Chef Garamy Whitmore performed demonstrations throughout the day to show prospective customers both the speed of the technology and its ability to produce exceptional baking results!  "FastBake delivers on the promise of true time savings while still maintaining a quality bake," says Chef Whitmore.  "Customers that test FastBake are sometimes so excited about the improved quality of their pizzas that they temporarily forget that they've actually just taken a minute off their bake time." Are there more opportunities for FastBake conveyor ovens on the horizon?  "Absolutely," says Gregory. " This is just the beginning.  Within a year you will see the FastBake technology being used across the board on Lincoln Impinger Ovens...and our R&D team will continue to stay on the leading edge of innovation in our pursuit to bring customer-focused products to this industry."

It might be the beginning, but if the feedback in the Kitchen Innovations booth is any sign, the aptly named FastBake technology will quickly change the way the pizza industry views speed and quality in conveyor ovens.
